Formby U3A was formed in March 1990 and seeks to promote the leisure, social and educational activities of its members, using their skills, experience and knowledge. We are a voluntary organisation where retired or semi-retired people from all walks of life and of all ages meet with like-minded members to expand their knowledge, share interests or acquire new skills.
Men and women with a lifetime of experience, expertise and know-how in professions, occupations or through hobbies are encouraged to form groups and share their knowledge with fellow members. A mutual interest leads to new friendships. Many Groups meet in members' homes, adding an important social dimension.
Formby U3A since formation has grown steadily such that there are now nearly 1300 members, nearly 50 different subjects and over 100 individual Groups. Please click here to view our groups
