BOWLS
| The u3a bowling group meets at the bowling green in Formby Park during the March-October bowling season. Beginners and/or experienced players are most welcome to join. Introductory tuition is available for absolute beginners. A small number of bowls and jacks are available for loan. The green is a public facility and so payment is to Sefton Council. The 2024 cost was £35 for the whole season and £3.50.for one session. This allows play on Tuesday afternoon with the group and at any other time when the green is not being used for matches or tournaments. Costs for the 2025 season are likely to be similar Friendship, fresh air, exercise and some friendly sporting competition can be promised each week (though not always sunshine!) |
